CJBBE is built on community-rooted knowledge, higher education, evidence-based practice and lived experience. We welcome proposals from doulas, midwives, clinicians, researchers, faculty, students, fathers, partners, advocates and community leaders — anyone whose work touches Black maternal, paternal and family health.
Session Types
Keynote or Featured Presentation
A high-visibility plenary address for the full summit audience.
Individual Presentation
A 45–60 minute evidence-based or practice-focused talk.
Interactive Workshop
Hands-on, skills-building session with active participant engagement.
Panel Discussion
Moderated conversation with 3–5 panelists on a shared topic.
Poster Presentation
Visual display of research, program data or community evidence.
Research Presentation
Peer-reviewed or community-based participatory research findings.
Community Evidence & Storytelling
Lived experience, oral history and community-centered knowledge.
Student Presentation
Open to undergraduate and graduate students in relevant fields.
Wellness or Experiential Session
Movement, meditation, creative arts or restorative practice.
